Bilal Powell – New York Jets – $5,800

Bilal Powell has been the perfect Jekyll to Crowell’s Hyde thus far in the 2018 campaign. Both backs have had very solid showings week in and week out. Through five games, Powell has amassed 264 rushing yards on 59 carries, adding 105 total receiving yards and one touchdown on 10 total receptions.

Powell brings balance and a good change of pace for a New York Jets offense that is young at quarterback. As we all know young quarterbacks need a good running game to establish their passing game as early and often as possible. Week 6 brings a good high-value matchup for Powell to once again bring that steady flow to the field.

Powell has averaged 52.8 rushing yards per game, 11.8 carries, 21 receiving yards and two receptions per game thus far. He goes up against a Indianapolis Colts defense that is ranked 18th against the rush, 28th against the pass and 22nd overall, respectively. Powell can create space in the passing game for his young signal caller and exploit the Colts main weakness on Sunday.

Through five games played thus far the Indianapolis defense has allowed 389.4 total yards per game, 282.6 passing yards, 106.8 rushing yards and 27.6 total points allowed per game. In Week 5 the Colts allowed James White a similar utilized running back to amass 77 receiving yards, one touchdown on 10 receptions and 14 total targets.

Powell is a safe play against the Colts and shouldn’t be overlooked. As long as Sam Darnold can get him the ball the sky is the limit for Powell in this good matchup in Week 6.

Prediction: 60 receiving yards, 30 rushing yards, 1 touchdown
