Seattle Seahawks (-2) @ Oakland Raiders

Usually, west coast teams taking a long trip takes a toll on them, and usually swings the line. However, this game has two west coast teams making major trips, as they are playing in London.

The Seahawks are coming off a great performance against the Los Angeles Rams, but it still ended in a loss. The Oakalnd Raiders were annihilated by the other Los Angeles team. Last week is likely the reason why this line is pointed toward Seattle. It’s a one week bias. Either way, both these teams look bad with a quarterback who can win.

It seems like the oddsmakers are overreacting to last week’s game. The Raiders aren’t good, but neither are the Seahawks. Who knows how that flight to London will affect these two teams. There’s nothing more to rally around for Pete Carroll’s team. This sounds crazy even saying it, but take the Raiders.

Arizona Cardinals @ Minnesota Vikings (-9.5)

The Minnesota Vikings have seen this high of a line before, and it did not go well. They were facing the Buffalo Bills as a 17.5 point favorite. They lost outright, and it was never close.

Once again, the Vikings face the Arizona Cardinals, thought of as one of the worst teams in the league. This time, they get just under 10 points at home.

I’ll be honest, my gut reaction is to take the Vikings here. They are clearly the better team, and Adam Thielen alone should help them beat the Cardinals by 10 points. However, the Vikings haven’t beaten anybody this season by more than 10 points. Don’t bet on something when there is no precedence.
