2. Alabama doesn’t punt yet again

The fact that the Alabama Crimson Tide enter the seventh week of the 2018 college football undefeated is not surprising. They came into the season as the top-ranked team in the country and they have looked the part. However, what’s been impressive about Alabama to start the season has been that they’ve stayed perfect to this point without ever really breaking a sweat.

Between arguably the best overall defense in the country and an offense that is probably the most explosive that we’ve ever seen under Nick Saban’s watch, it’s been exceptionally easy for the Crimson Tide to roll this season. Heck, it would be considered a feat at this point in the season if an opposing team kept things close enough for Tua Tagovailoa to have to play meaningful snaps (or at all) in the second half.

Perhaps the most indicative stat of how dominant Alabama has been, especially of late, comes courtesy of Justin Nails of Gridiron Now on Twitter. According to Nails, the Tide haven’t punted once in their last two games. Granted, those games were against Louisiana-Lafayette and Arkansas, but even then, it’s still mind-bogglingly impressive that they’ve been able to play at that level.

In Week 7, Alabama and Tua are going to continue to blow minds with their efficiency and explosiveness. Against a Missouri Tigers team whose defense has been quite abysmal this season, the Tide won’t be stopped when they have the ball and will make it three-straight games in which they won’t have to use their punter.
