The Netherlands face Germany at the Johan Cruijff Arena on Saturday, Oct. 13. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

A notoriously conservative manager, the likeable German coach Joachim Loew has predictably resisted the temptation to make wholesale changes in the light of his team’s shock group-stage exit at this summer’s World Cup. Hoffenheim left-back Nico Schulz, Schalke striker Mark Uth and Leverkusen teenager Kai Havertz have been the only new faces thus far, although the latter has dropped out due to injury. Loew may have no choice but to opt for new blood soon, though, with Mats Hummels, Toni Kroos, Thomas Mueller and Marco Reus all turning 30 before the 2020 European Championships, meaning they’re likely to be past their peaks by Qatar 2022.

The timing of the Nations League seems to have been a little unkind to the Netherlands. After failing to qualify for either the 2016 European Championships or this summer’s World Cup, they could probably have done with some easy games against low-ranking sides. Instead, they’ve been put in a group containing the past two winners of the World Cup. Nonetheless, coach Ronald Koeman, who won the European Championship as a player in 1988 alongside the likes of Ruud Gullit and Marco van Basten, will have been encouraged by his team’s good performance in their opening game against France, which they were a little unlucky to lose.
