38. Will Grier, QB, West Virginia

  • Height: 6’1″
  • Weight: 214
  • Class: Redshirt Senior

There aren’t many players out to a hotter start in 2018 than West Virginia quarterback Will Grier. So, why hasn’t he moved up this list? Before that, let’s take a look at what he has done well. So far, Grier has a ridiculous 1819 yards passing through just five weeks, along with 21 touchdown passes. He’s on pace to hit nearly 4500 yards on the season. Grier is going to have the production when scouts take a look at him, there’s no doubt. Of course, there will be doubts as to whether or not the Big 12 gave Grier enough of a challenge.

The good news is that Grier is putting on a show for scouts as well. He has the live arm and makes great throws down the field with touch and accuracy. He gets the ball out quick and on time as well. Grier does sometimes throw from odd angles and with odd footwork and has six interceptions on the season, but the raw talent is there for him to succeed.

37. Quinnen Williams, DL, Alabama

  • Height: 6’3″
  • Weight: 285
  • Class: Redshirt Sophomore

Alabama defensive lineman Quinnen Williams is another new name on the board this week. It’s always hard to separate yourself from a defensive line that always has great talent, but even among a top player on the board in Raekwon Davis, Williams is showing out in a big way. While he has just half of a sack this season, Williams does have five and a half tackles for loss and has been a constant disruptor in the backfield.

He has good quickness for his size on the interior, and he has a good set of moves to win reps. He will be one to watch as a riser in this class, especially with stiffer competition on the way. Of course, the big thing with Williams is his age. It is entirely possible, no matter how good of a season he has, that he ends up staying at school for maybe another year.
