With some running backs already ruled out for Week 6, here are three cheap options to use in your NFL DraftKings lineup.

The early slate of the October 14 NFL DraftKings set of games features nine good matchups. There are some top quarterbacks that will be worth their price. As a result, DraftKings players won’t have enough for the top-tier running backs. There are plenty of cheaper options that will provide you with DFS value.

Giovani Bernard are Devonta Freeman are already ruled out and a handful of other running backs listed as questionable for Week 6. With limited practices, it will be hard to trust those running backs in your lineup. They may start but who knows what their snap count will be. You want the consistent option in your lineup to get the most points possible.

Here are three cheap running back options that will be worth using in your lineup for Week 6.

Bilal Powell, NYJ

Powell hasn’t been a big part of the New York Jets offense over the last couple of weeks, combined 25.4 total points in his last three games. It’s mostly because of game flow but the great performance of Isaiah Crowell has something to do with it.

Crowell is listed as questionable and could be a game-time decision as he’s dealing with an ankle injury. He was limited in practice on Friday.

Regardless of Crowell’s status, Powell should be the lead back for the Jets. They play the Indianapolis Colts and their 26th ranked rushing defense. At just $4,500, Powell is a must start this week.

Chris Carson, SEA

Carson missed Week 4 with a hip injury but came back strong in Week 5. Mike Davis had his breakout game in that game and continued to carve out a role for himself last week.

Carson will rack up the yardage against the Oakland Raiders. Davis will likely get the carries in the red zone, taking away possible touchdowns. With the Seattle Seahawks going with a run-first offense, both running backs have fantasy value.

Carson, despite being the starter, is priced at $4,400. If you want to chase the touchdowns and be completely contrarian, Davis comes in at $4,100.

Latavius Murray, MIN

Dalvin Cook is still dealing with a hamstring injury. He was more active in practice this week and could play in Week 6. However, Cook said, “that hamstring injuries can be ‘tricky,’ per CBS Sports. If Cook is active, I don’t expect him to be used as much in order to prevent reaggravation.

Murray has 21.5 points over the last three weeks. He hasn’t done much damage rushing the ball but has been effective in the passing game.

Murray and the Minnesota Vikings welcome in the 32nd ranked rushing defense of the Arizona Cardinals. This game could be a blowout, giving way to Murray draining clock by rushing the ball. He’s priced at $4,700. I wouldn’t be nervous if Cook is active.

These three backup running backs have the potential to be effective starters in Week 6. All three of their matchups favor the run and could put up a lot of points. Spending less than 10 percent of your DraftKings budget on a running back will allow you to build a stronger lineup.
