Life is a little more favorable for Wisconsin out in the Big Ten West, but this will be their first big challenge facing a Michigan team that has rolled since a close loss to Notre Dame in the opening week of the season.
Michigan’s defense will be put to the test on Saturday, as they will face Jonathan Taylor. The Badgers’ running back has been as advertised and remains one of the toughest running backs in college football to bring down.
On the flip side, the evolution of Michigan’s offense has been improving under quarterback Shea Patterson. They have scored 40 or more points in four of their last five contests. Patterson has had three touchdown performances in three of their last five wins.
ESPN ultimately chose to go with the Big Ten battle over LSU and Georgia in the SEC, and it will be interesting to see which team the guys on set pick. Although just about everyone in the world knows who former Michigan great Desmond Howard will take.
