Main’s Mavericks – Week 6 DraftKings NFL GPP Picks
Main’s Mavericks is providing weekly Draftkings NFL DFS GPP contest advice by searching out low-salary, boom-or-bust plays destined to outperform value. As a general rule for this article, I target players below $5,000. My goal is to pick value plays who I believe can exceed 4-5 times their value (EX: $5,000 player x 4 = 20DK Pts). I will be using all of my picks in Week 6 DraftKings NFL GPP tournaments as boom-or-bust punt options. Saving on these volatile players will allow you to pay-up for superstars when building that Week 6 DraftKings NFL $1,000,000 lineup.

Jordy Nelson 4,500 @ LAC – 14.3 DK Points
Martavis Bryant 3,400 @ LAC – 11.1 DK Points

QB:
Sam Darnold 5,300 vs IND
The Indy defense is nothing to be scared of. The Jets have a solid arsenal of offensive weapons. If you need a cheap streamer QB, then Sam is your man. The price-tag is too low. Although his fantasy production has been up and down, Darnold has a fantasy QB mentality – a gunslinger who is always looking for the big play. The Jets superb power run game should set up the pass perfectly for Darnold this week.
RB:
Lamar Miller 4,700 vs BUF
Miller is not a sexy play, but he is a guy whose role in the Texans offense is relatively stable. If he can break one long play, then he easily pays value. The price-tag is higher than I would like to play. However, the leverage will be amazing this week, as his ownership will be low single digits in the Milly Maker.
Ito Smith 3,100 vs TBB
The new of Devonta Freeman sitting out week 6 will have everyone on Tevin Coleman. Ito smith will have 1/10th the ownership, and is riding a 2-game TD streak. $3,100 allows for you to plug in a lot of top tier talent into your lineup. All of Mains Maverick picks carry some risk, but the upside outweighs the risk for Ito Smith. I will own him in 100% of my DK lineups.

WR:
Mohamed Sanu 4,800 vs TBB
TBB @ ATL is an easy stack game. It has one of the highest Vegas totals on the board and both defenses have been nonexistent through 5 weeks. Mohamed Sanu is being undervalued due to the incredible red-zone production by Calvin Ridley. Sonu has more targets than Ridley this season, and he has 3 straight games of 15+ DK points. Sonu is an easy addition to this game stack.
Adam Humphries 3,200 @ ATL
I am a huge Adam Humphries supporter when Jameis Winston is playing QB. Humphries is usually underpriced on DraftKings, and his price has not caught up now that Jameis is back under center. Humphries was targeted 7 times in week 4, most of which was by Jameis Winston. There are options aplenty for Winston at the wideout position, but I trust Humphries will get his looks in what should be a shootout.
TE:
CJ Uzoman 3,000 vs PIT
Uzoman will get a healthy share of snaps this week with injuries sidelining Tyler Croft and Tyler Eifert (IR). PIT defense has struggled to cover anyone through the first 5 weeks. For 3,000, I will be heavily overweight on Uzoman.
