The Utah Utes have been one of the hottest teams in the Pac-12 in the past two weeks, as they are punishing their opponents, and have scored over 40 points in each of the last two matchups. Two weeks ago, the Utes manhandled the Stanford Cardinal, beating them on the road, and showing that they could be in play as one of the top teams in the conference this season.

On Friday night, the Utes took on the Arizona Wildcats at home, and once the Utes jumped on Arizona early, the game was pretty lopsided the rest of the way. The Wildcats lost star quarterback Khalil Tate to an injury early, but it likely would not have mattered had he played, as Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley scored on the ground, through the air, and as a receiver in this one.

The Utes will host Pac-12 South rival USC in Week 8, in a game that could have serious implications for the rest of the way. Utah appears to be a team on a roll right now, and after seeing all the ways they can get the ball into the end zone on Friday night, no team should look forward to going into Rice-Eccles Stadium right now.

The USC Trojans got off to a rough start to the 2018 college football season, losing two games in September, and looking like they could be in a rebuilding year with freshman quarterback JT Daniels. However, they have really come on strong as of late, and after beating a very good Colorado team on Saturday, they could once again be the class of the Pac-12 South Division.

Colorado came into the game against the Trojans with an unblemished record but had never beaten USC in the history of their program. USC made sure to keep that record intact, dominating on both sides of the ball, and rolling to a 31-20 victory in front of the home fans.

Daniels threw for three touchdowns in the game, two of which that went to Michael Pittman Jr., who terrorized the Buffaloes secondary all game long. USC cannot rest on this victory, as they have another monster game ahead of them this weekend, as they go to Utah to take on the Utes, who like the Trojans, are playing their best football right now, and are serious contenders in the South Division.
