Welcome to the first installment of what will be a daily DFS NBA player pool and mass multi entry strategy for both Draftkings and FanDuel.

DFS NBA MME Strategy for October 16th

There are a couple of different ways to approach MME – one way is to just put a few DFS NBA lineups in a bunch of tournaments, a strategy I do not recommend. The other is to be selective in the tournaments and enter those with the maximum lineups allowed. While everyone dreams of taking down a gpp with a life changing prize pool, my focus is on maximizing the number of entries that are competitive and finishing above the cash line and turning a profit on a more consistent basis. You will hear a lot about building a core group of players and building your lines around it but with MME this is hardly the case.

The goal is to create a player pool of both low and high risk plays, limiting exposure to the high risk plays and using a lineup tool (free or premium works). Using the csv edit option on both sites is the easiest way to enter in all your lineups once you have generated and here are links on how to do this – Fanduel CSV  Draftkings CSV. With that being said, let’s get to our pool for opening night.

First bit of news that is pretty big is that Russell Westbrook is listed as out along with Roberson. Steven Adams is listed as questionable with lower back stiffness but I assume he will play without restrictions.

With this news we will begin to build our pool with Dennis Schroder and Paul George. George was very productive this preseason averaging almost 24 points and 5 boards at just 23 minutes per game. He and Schroder are clearly the focal point while Westbrook is out and it is obvious the offense will be running through George. The remaining plays for OKC are Hamidou Diallo and Jerami Grant.  On a small 2 game slate it will be very easy to narrow our player pool and there is no need to get cute here. Player pricing at this point in the season is very favorable to DFS players and we need to take advantage. I believe that both games will be high scoring and fast paced with the studs seeing around 35 minutes.

For the 76ers we will add Ben Simmons, JJ Redick, Dario Saric, Joel Embiid, Markelle Fultz, and Landry Shamet. If Shamet can see 15 to 20 minutes he has the potential to put up 1 fantasy point per minute. I would limit the exposure to 10 percent regardless of how many lineups you enter. For Boston we will run with Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Al Horford. Coach Stevens said Gordon Hayward is likely to only see about 25 minutes per game to start the season which will put him on our pool but exposure here needs to be limited to about 10 to 15 percent.

For the defending champion Warriors the most recent news is that Shaun Livingston has the “q” tag and Draymond Green won’t be on a minutes restriction but will play in shorter bursts. I will limit Greens exposure here as well but round out our Warriors pool with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson , Kevin Durant, and Damian Jones.
