Fantasy Football, Week 7: Best lineup with start/sit advice
By Dylan Broady
Alshon Jeffery, Philadelphia Eagles
Some of you might wonder why we have Alshon Jeffery as a flex for Week 7 instead of our main wide receiver. Most teams by now already have two or three main wide receivers, as Jeffery has had a slow start to his 2018 campaign due to injury. In two wide receiver lineups Jeffery is a great flex play for Week 7. He’s become Wentz favorite target since coming back from injury.
In only three games played, Jeffery has amassed 29 total targets and hauled in 18 receptions for 218 receiving yards and three total touchdowns. In Week 6, Jeffery was targeted a team-high 12 times and reeled in eight balls for 74 receiving yards and two touchdowns in a big win over bitter rivals in the New York Giants.
In Week 7, Jeffery and the Eagles play host to the Carolina Panthers and their 15th-ranked defense. Carolina has allowed 358 total yards, 255.6 passing yards, 102.4 rushing yards and 22.8 total points per game. That’s a blueprint for success for this Eagles offense who lack a true running game.
Not only is stacking important in daily fantasy but it can also be helpful in season-long leagues as well in good matchups. It’s also a good strategy in cases such as these where a quarterback targets a certain receiver more than anyone else. It allows you to gain more points against your opponent. Just be careful when stacking in season long leagues and make sure it’s a good matchup or the player you’re choosing is targeted more than his teammates on a weekly basis.
Prediction: 105 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
