2019 NFL Mock Draft: Chargers find successor for Philip Rivers
By Brad Weiss

52. . Quarterback. Missouri. Drew Lock. 14. player
The Jacksonville Jaguars shocked the world when they made it to the AFC title game last season, only to blow a ten-point fourth quarter lead to the New England Patriots. Despite having all of their talent coming back this season, the Jags have been one of the more inconsistent teams in the NFL, and it all stems from their starting quarterback.
This past offseason, the organization made a choice to roll with Blake Bortles as their quarterback once again in 2018, and that move appears to have backfired. There are games where he looks good, that is true, but you cannot expect this team to win on a week-to-week basis, especially with Leonard Fournette out, with Bortles under center.
It is time for the Jaguars to move on from Bortles, and Drew Lock would be a guy who can come right in and play in year one. This is a team that has the talent to get to a Super Bowl, but that will never be the case with Bortles under center.
Lock has the talent to be a legitimate starter at the next level, and is not afraid to take shots down the field. He would give the Jaguars the kind of franchise guy that they are currently missing, and with so much talent around him, he would be walking into the perfect scenario as a rookie quarterback.
