Ole Miss. DK Metcalf. 16. player. 30. . Wide Receiver

The New York Jets made the decision to roll with rookie quarterback Sam Darnold this season, handing him the keys to the car prior to Week 1 of the 2018 NFL season. He has been pretty impressive throughout, and despite showing that he still needs to cut down on the turnovers, he is definitely the franchise-type quarterback the Jets were hoping for.

When it comes to the weapons around him, the Jets could afford to use a first round pick on giving him a deep threat at wideout. They do have an electric player in Robby Anderson, but he is way too inconsistent, and brings a ton of baggage with him off the field, so he is not someone you are going to build your position group around.

With their first round selection in round one, the Jets could decide to bring in a weapon for Darnold, and DK Metcalf from Ole Miss would be a perfect fit. Metcalf can really stretch the field, and as we have seen during his time with the Rebels, he is one of the more complete players at his position in college football.

The Jets hit the lotto by selecting Darnold at No. 3 overall in April, and they have to be thanking their stars that the New York Giants passed up on him. They put 42 points on the board against the Indianapolis Colts this past weekend, and you have to think this is just the start of what will be a great career for No. 14 in the Green and White.
