2019 NFL Mock Draft: Chargers find successor for Philip Rivers
By Brad Weiss
The Denver Broncos had the tall task of taking on the Los Angeles Rams this past Sunday, although they did have the advantage of some snowy, cold weather inside Mile High. However, Todd Gurley proved to be too much for the Broncos defense, setting a career-high in rushing yards, as the Rams continued their undefeated season in front of the Denver faithful.
When it comes to this Denver Broncos team, there are a lot of holes, and it is anybody’s guess as to where they will go when they pick in the first round next year. If Justin Herbert is available when they pick, he is a likely selection, as John Elway was at the Oregon game this past Saturday, and looked like he liked what he saw from the Ducks signal-caller.
Another area of need on this roster in on the offensive line, where 2017 first rounder Garett Bolles has struggled mightily at left tackle. The team may want to draft a new left tackle, and move him to the right side, as he just gets beat way too often currently, and it is seriously affecting new quarterback Case Keenum.
Keenum is not the long-term answer at the quarterback position, and if the Broncos continue to lose, they may hand the reins over to Chad Kelly and see what they have there. They have a nice stable of running backs, and solid wideout, so the offense is pretty close, but they have to get better up front.
