If your fantasy football defense is on bye or has a tough matchup, here are three sleeper options worth picking up for Week 7.

With six weeks in the books, NFL scoring is through the roof. Teams are averaging 24.1 points per game, up almost three points from last season. This makes it tough to find a reliable fantasy football defense week after week. If you like to stream defenses, there are three teams with good matchups that are worth adding to your team.

Week 7 has four teams on bye, Green Bay Packers, Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks. Three of those four teams are top-10 defenses so far this season. Most fantasy owners only own one defense in order to load up on skill players. As a result, you may need a replacement defense this week.

If you were waiting for the waiver claims to die down, there should still be a good defense or two on the waiver wire. Here are three to pick from if they are available.

Buffalo Bills @IND

The Bills defense has been good for most of the season. They have an interception and fumble recovery in four straight games and have a total of 19 sacks already.

With Andrew Luck throwing the ball at a record pace, the Bills are likely to record a couple of sacks and an interception, adding to their ridiculous totals.

The Indianapolis Colts are trying to figure out their running game with Marlon Mack and Nyheim Hines splitting time. The Bills shouldn’t have to stack the box to stop the run.

Indianapolis Colts, vs BUF

On the other side of the field are the Colts. The Bills announced that Derek Anderson will start Week 7 with Josh Allen dealing with an injury. If only Nathan Peterman was starting this game.

LeSean McCoy is the lone playmaker on this team. Kelvin Benjamin has no interest in practicing routes with his quarterback.

The Bills will likely be down late in the game, forcing their quarterback to throw more. The Colts defense has scored a season-high eight points twice. This could be the game they break double digits.

Washington Redskins, vs DAL

This is my sleeper of sleeper defenses for Week 7. The Redskins defense is 19th in fantasy. Outside of the New Orleans Saints game, they haven’t allowed more than 22 points per game. They have at least one sack per game with four interceptions and five fumble recoveries.

The Dallas Cowboys passing game is non-existent. Dak Prescott has seven touchdowns and four interceptions. Cole Beasley leads the team with 294 yards.

If the Redskins defense can pressure Prescott and force him to throw the ball more, they should create a turnover or two.

The Bills and Colts defenses have been added in over 15 percent of ESPN leagues this week. The Redskins are at 1.6 percent. If your opponents added the first two, the Redskins could be the difference maker. They are a big contrarian play in DFS, too.
