Heisman Watch 2018: Darrell Henderson making run at history, Week 8 outlook
2018 Stats: 106 for 168, 1,613 yds, 17 TD, 5 INT, 1 Rush TD
Next Game: @ Washington State
Justin Herbert has the Ducks right back in the Pac-12 title discussion with the win over No. 7 Washington last week. Throwing for 202 yards and two touchdowns against a very stingy Husky defense was no small feat.
Things don’t get any easier for Herbert and the Ducks this week, as they must travel to Pullman, Washington to take on the Washington State Cougars.
Playing in Martin Stadium is never a cakewalk, but this time ESPN College GameDay will be there, so the entire Cougar Nation in Pullman is going to be extra charged up. Mike Leach will undoubtedly have his offense ready, but it’s the Washington State defense that should concern Herbert.
The Cougars are ranked 10th nationally in passing defense, giving up only 165 passing yards per game. Considering some of the pass-happy offenses Wazzu faces, that’s a pretty impressive number. Herbert will need to have one of his best games to keep Oregon rolling and keep his Heisman hopes alive.
