Here’s everything you need to know about the Pac 12 crossover showdown between Arizona State and Stanford, including how to bet and watch online.
Arizona State is coming off their bye week with a close loss on the road against Colorado. They face a Stanford team who is coming off of a bye week of their own and suffering a blowout loss to Utah at home.
Arizona State is 3-3 but they have shown a lot of improvement in the first year of Herm Edwards era. They are keeping games close and almost beat a playoff contention Washington team on the road. The offense is not a high powered offense, they are ranked 72nd in total offense and average nearly 30 points a game. However, they are one of the most proficient offenses in the nation being ranked 19th. The Sun Devils are led by senior quarterback Manny Wilkins who is having a solid year with 1,446 through the air and has thrown 11 touchdowns and 1 interception on 63 percent passing. His go-to guy N’Keal Harris is having a good year, on the season he has caught 34 balls for 481 yards along with five touchdowns. They also have a solid run game led by sophomore running back Eno Benjamin who has carried the ball for 126 times for 715 yards. Their defense will not wow you on the stat as they are ranked 51st in total defense and 78th in defensive efficiency. They can fly around and get to the ball, they have some talent on that side of that ball with Jalen Harvey and Jalen Bates.
Stanford is 4-2 on the year and is currently on a two-game losing streak. They havent looked the same after their big victory against Oregon on the road a few weeks ago. The offense has looked one dimensional since the loss of Bryce Love and they can’t get the running game going. The Cardinal offense is led by KJ Costello who is throwing 1,611 yards has 12 touchdowns with 6 interceptions on 62 percent completion. Bryce Love is rested from the last two weeks from an ankle injury against Notre Dame so he is questionable. Their receiving core is led by JJ Arcega-Whiteside who has 541 yards with eight touchdowns on the year so far. The Stanford defense looked sound the first 3 games and since then they have given up 36 points a game and 499 yards a game.
Stanford is looking to get back on track in this game and with Bryce Love in the backfield maybe that can put a spark into the locker room. The Sun Devils front 7 will not go down without a fight and should look to bring pressure early in the game.
