NBA DFS MME Strategy and Player Pool for October 18th

Welcome to what will be a daily NBA DFS MME player pool and mass multi entry strategy for both Draftkings and FanDuel.

There are a couple of different ways to approach NBA DFS MME – one way is to just put a few DFS NBA lineups in a bunch of tournaments, a strategy I do not recommend. The other is to be selective in the tournaments and enter those with the maximum lineups allowed. While everyone dreams of taking down a GPP with a life changing prize pool, my focus is on maximizing the number of entries that are competitive and finishing above the cash line and turning a profit on a more consistent basis. You will hear a lot about building a core group of players and building your lines around it but with MME this is hardly the case.

The goal is to create a player pool of both low and high risk plays, limiting exposure to the high risk plays and using a lineup tool (free or premium works) to generate our lines. Using the csv edit option on both sites is the easiest way to enter in all your lineups once you have them generated.

We have 3 games tonight featuring the debut of LeBron James in a Lakers uniform. Look for LeBron to try and establish himself and the Lakers as an early playoff favorite team. This preseason The Lakers led all teams in fast break points per game with 23.8. I expect to see this trend continue which will bode well for the likes of Rajon Rondo, Lonzo Ball, and Kyle Kuzma. On the other side of the ball I will be heavy on Damian Lillard and Evan Turner. Coach Stotts has said that he plans to sit Lillard and CJ McCollum together to allow Turner to run the offense for the second unit. Along with Lillard, Turner, and McCollum I will also have some of Jusuf Nurkic.

We also have Miami starting the season with a back-to-back as they will be going up against a Wizards team looking to fight for top spot in the East. I like Tyler Johnson coming off the bench and think he will get more minutes than last night. I love Hassan Whiteside and Derrick Jones Jr. as well.  Will be sprinkling in some of Goran Dragic and Rodney McGruder also. On the Wizards side it is very cut and dry – John Wall, Bradley Beal and Markieff Morris. It will be a full fade of Dwight Howard for me. Even if he plays he will likely be limited so there is not a need to waste the salary there.

This leaves us with the Bulls and 76ers. We know right now that Cameron Payne will be starting in place of Kris Dunn who  has been ruled out for tonight. This puts him in play at his salary and gives a nice bump to Zach Lavine. Wendell Carter Jr. has stated that he welcomes the challenge of putting a team on his back so it will be interesting to see how he handles this match-up against Joel Embiid. Along with the aforementioned players shares of Ben Simmons and JJ Redick will be had. I think we can mostly overlook Markelle Fultz until he proves to be a viable option but I can understand rostering him. Feel free to add anyone you see fit but this is the Fantasy Basketball player pool I will be using for tonight barring any injury news.
