2. Bet on the Patriots -2.5 at Chicago

The Chiefs aren’t the only Sunday night participant we like in Week 7. The Patriots are an even better bet. The Bears have an excellent defense, but it’s not going to be good enough to stop Tom Brady and company in this one.

Remember, Chicago’s defense gave up big time yards and points against the Dolphins last week. That Miami offense was led by Brock Osweiler. They have no chance to adjust their scheme enough to stop Tom Brady this week.

The only question here is whether or not the Patriots defense can keep Mitch Trubisky off-balance. We fully expect the second-year quarterback to experience success early in the game when he’s working off of Matt Nagy’s script. Things are going to get weird after that though. Bill Belichick is going to win this chess match in the end.

That should allow New England to pull away down the stretch. It’s going to be very difficult for the Bears to keep this game close. As such, 2.5 points just isn’t a large enough spread to make the Bears the right play. Bet on the Patriots with confidence. Don’t be afraid to tease this one either.
