Tarik Cohen, Chicago Bears vs. New England Patriots

Jordan Howard established himself as a star in the Chicago Bears backfield immediately in his NFL career, averaging 5.2 yards per carry with over 1,300 rushing yards as a rookie. He followed that up with a solid 2017 campaign, notching over 1,000 yards again.

But in his third season in the league, Howard is getting the spotlight stolen from him by Tarik Cohen, who has made quite the impact so far in 2018 after showing some promise as a fourth-round rookie out of North Carolina A&T in 2017.

Cohen caught seven balls for 121 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, tabbing 53 rushing yards for the second straight week in the process. He was nearly as good in Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins, carrying the rock five times for 31 rushing yards and a touchdown. Better yet, Cohen caught seven passes for 90 yards, with the lone blemish in his performance being a lost fumble.

In Week 7, the Bears will face the New England Patriots, who have surrendered 344 receiving yards to running backs in 2018. That’s the second-highest total in the league, and it’s a sign that Cohen could have his third straight huge week in the passing game. The Patriots are riding high after another strong showing in Week 6, so if the Bears want to have any hope at an upset, they need Cohen to be the x-factor in this offense for a third straight week.
