2. Two sent off in fiery London derby between West Ham and Tottenham

One of the more exciting looking games this weekend sees Tottenham travel across London to face off against West Ham at the London Stadium. It should be an exciting match with both sides finding better form in recent Premier League matches.

Spurs should probably take all three points, but the Hammers will pose a threat going forward and Mauricio Pochettino will know that. His side will need to be tough across the pitch and that could lead to some stronger challenges.

In the Nations League this week, Eric Dier took center stage following a, let’s say, robust tackle on Sergio Ramos. This game could be full of such challenges with two London clubs going head-to-head in a match that’s quite difficult to call.

West Ham looked a little lost early on in their defeat away to Brighton, but were much better in the second half. They’ve also played their best soccer at home — most impressively in a 3-1 win over Manchester United.

The Hammers need to start strong and believe that they can go toe-to-toe with Tottenham, otherwise they could be setting themselves up for defeat. Spurs are well organized and with Harry Kane in the side they’ll always have a potent attacking threat.

The England captain showed that against Spain with some clinical hold-up play and passes that led to two of England’s goals. Kane’s movement makes him hard to mark as center-backs can’t track him all the way up the pitch and this enables him to get free more often.

Manuel Pellegrini should just assign someone like Mark Noble to almost follow Kane around and by doing this West Ham could stop a lot of Tottenham’s productivity. Spurs players will still look for their striker even if he’s marked rigorously but that could lead to frustration for Pochettino’s side.

This will be a game full of excitement, goals, strong challenges and even sending offs. Tottenham might take all three points, but both sides will finish this match with only 10 men.
