DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – October 19, 2018

High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,250
Kemba Walker (at ORL – $8,300): Needs 39.3 fantasy points. Walker went off for 55.5 fantasy points on opening night. The Hornets don’t have much help around him, but that’s not an issue when you can score like he can. The Magic are long and possibly better defensively than given credit for. But I’m not sold on them after one game. And I’m definitely not sold on them against a scorer and playmaker like Walker. Diagnosis: Proven high ceiling early in the season against a matchup that looks good on paper. Maybe won’t score quite as much as opening night, but the passing game should be better.
Dennis Schroder (at LAC – $7,700): Needs 35.4 fantasy points. Schroder filled in nicely for Westbrook on opening night, scoring 46.73 fantasy points. Westbrook is currently a game-time decision and if he plays, this salary is far too high for Schroder. But if Westbrook is unable to play, Schroder should have no problem cutting through a rather weak Clippers defense. Diagnosis: Avoid if Westbrook plays. Take with confidence if Westbrook remains out.
Jrue Holiday (vs SAC – $7,200): Needs 33.1 fantasy points. Holiday didn’t show up on opening night and Pelicans still went off on the Rockets. Expect Holiday to be better in a favorable matchup. As good as Julius Randle and others were around Anthony Davis, Holiday remains the second best player on the team and the guy with the best chemistry next to Davis. He’ll rebound without an issue. Take advantage of the slightly lower salary. Diagnosis: Good matchup on a great team and too good to play the way he did on opening night.
