Spencer Dinwiddie (vs NY – $5,900): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. Dinwinddie had a strong start to the season coming off the bench with 37 fantasy points against the Pistons. Is he better than D’Angelo Russell? He certainly looked like it last season and in game one. The Knicks impressed against the Hawks, but the Hawks might be the worst team in the NBA. The Nets aren’t great, but Dinwiddie is a proven fantasy player who gets plenty of playing time. Diagnosis: Unless you’re sold on the Knicks defense, this is a good matchup for Dinwiddie, who might be the best player on the Nets.
Elfrid Payton (vs SAC – $5,800): Needs 27.4 fantasy points. What to make of Elfrid Payton? His offense is never an issue, which is good news considering he’s playing alongside Anthony Davis. Payton had the lowest form of a triple-double you can get, and while you can’t expect that again, this is certainly a great matchup for him to take advantage of. He’ll struggle on defense, but no one cares about defense in the DFS world. Diagnosis: Good matchup, great team, always puts up solid offensive numbers.
George Hill (at MIN – $5,000): Needs 23 fantasy points. Hill looked solid as the starting point guard against a very good Toronto team. He’s proven to be inconsistent, but there’s no real reason to trust everything going on in Minnesota right now. Hill is the most reliable guard option on the Cavaliers and they’ll need his scoring and passing throughout this season. Diagnosis: Good matchup and reliable given the team he’s on. The ceiling is rather limited.
