High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Lou Williams (vs OKC – $5,800): Needs 26.7 fantasy points. Williams had a rough outing on opening night, finishing with just 23.25 fantasy points. It’s dropped his salary into value territory and you should take advantage of that. Williams always plays well against the Thunder and with their defensive issues at shooting guard, he should be able to create for himself and others. Diagnosis: Too good to play as bad as he did on Wednesday. A matchup he usually feasts against.

Malik Monk (at ORL – $4,700): Needs 21 fantasy points. Monk had 34 fantasy points against the Bucks and was about the only contributor outside of Kemba Walker for the Hornets. I had high hopes for Monk after his play at the end of last season and he made me look wise on opening night. I’ll ride with him again as I don’t trust Orlando and I don’t trust anyone else on Charlotte. Monk is going to hit shots and he did other things on Wednesday. Diagnosis: Good matchup and a hot hand on a team starved for some type of secondary scoring.

E’Twaun Moore (vs SAC – $4,300): Needs 19.7 fantasy points. Is Moore going to play as well as he did on opening night when he had 29.25 fantasy points? Maybe not. But he had a good playoffs with the Pelicans, he’s trusted to perform on this team, and the Kings are still very good. A lot of factors working in Moore’s favor and a reason you should take him. Diagnosis: Low salary and proven contributor on a very good team. Gets plenty of minutes next to the 2018-19 MVP.
