DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – October 19, 2018

High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Buddy Hield (at NO – $5,600): Needs 25.6 fantasy points. Hield had 30.5 fantasy points against the Jazz. Given that he was up against one of the best defensive teams in the league and still delivered, that’s good news for his value on Friday. Hield was hit-and-miss against his former team last season. As good as the Pelicans looked on opening night, I want to see their defense a bit more. Fox and Hield are looking like a strong enough backcourt to give them trouble in the DFS realm. Diagnosis: I’m not sold on the Pelicans defense just yet. And I like what Hield and Fox are building in Sacramento.
Cedi Osman (at MIN – $5,400): Needs 25.3 fantasy points. LeBron who? Cedi looked like the real deal on opening night against the Raptors. And keep in mind, the Raptors are a good defensive team. Cavaliers fans have been banging on Cedi since last season and he showed why on Wednesday. Might it was a flash in the pan, but I’m going to trust him to deliver, especially against a weak defensive team like the Timberwolves. Diagnosis: Trust in Cedi and Cavaliers fans who are starved for talent with the departure of LeBron.
Mario Hezonja (at BKN – $4,600): Needs 21.4 fantasy points. Super Mario had 26.2 fantasy points in 19 minutes against the Hawks. The Knicks looked like the best they’ve looked in a decade, and while it was against the Hawks, the Nets aren’t much better. Hezonja proved to be a strong fantasy player throughout last season when he was given the opportunity. I think he’ll continue to get opportunities in New York. Diagnosis: Good matchup, low salary, could impress if he gets more than 20 minutes.
