High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Brook Lopez (vs IND – $5,600): Needs 23.9 fantasy points. Lopex finished with 20/1 fantasy points against the Hornets. Lopez will give them more rebounding than he did against Charlotte and he’ll continue to act as a floor spacer who can score from all areas. This one should be a track meet and Lopez has the tools to contribute. Diagnosis: I love a lot of players in this matchup based on what I saw from their respective offenses and what I know about their defenses.

Mohamed Bamba (vs CHA – $4,800): Needs 20.5 fantasy points. Bamba had a solid debut with 27.4 fantasy points. The Magic are still a weird mix of players to me and I don’t know exactly how Bamba fits in just yet, but he puts up points and rebounds. He should have a fairly easy going against the Hornets, who looked dead on arrival until Kemba Walker got hot against the Bucks. Diagnosis: Low salary and I’m starting to believe he’s going to have a high ceiling.

Damian Jones (at UTA – $4,600): Needs 19.6 fantasy points. At this point, I’m just going to assume that whoever starts at center for the Warriors is magically the best center in the league. The Warriors center always gets easy lobs and can focus on defense thanks to the offense around him. Jones was great against Adams on Tuesday. Gobert is a different monster, but there’s someone in the water when you’re surrounded by four All-Stars. Diagnosis: Low salary option, not a big fan of the matchup, but I’m not doubting the Warriors center position.
