High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs IND – $11,800): Needs 49.7 fantasy points. The game against the Hornets felt like just a taste of what we can expect from Giannis this season. The Pacers dominated the Grizzlies, but I still have questions about their defense. I have questions about the Milwaukee defense as well, which is why I love this match. And why I love Giannis. He’s the best player on the floor and the best player in the east. Diagnosis: You know what you’re getting and you know what you can get. Never a bad idea to take Giannis.

Paul George (at LAC – $9,200): Needs 38.7 fantasy points. Georges finished with 43.9 fantasy points after a slow start against the Warriors. If Westbrook plays, that makes George’s job easier. If Westbrook doesn’t play, it gives him more of an opportunity to put up numbers. Either way, George has a well-rounded game and the Clippers remain unconvincing after their debut. Diagnosis: High ceiling with or without Westbrook and a reliable option to boot.

Taurean Prince (at MEM – $7,100): Needs 29.9 fantasy points. The Hawks might be the worst team in the league, but Prince is their best player. He’s a classic “good stats on a bad team guy” and those guys mean a lot in the world of DFS. There’s much to like in Memphis or Atlanta on opening night for both teams, but I know Price will get numbers for Atlanta. Diagnosis: Reliable high salary option with the chance to do more if Trae Young remembers how to play basketball.
