High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,250

LeBron James (vs HOU – $10,700): Needs 49.1 fantasy points. LeBron was at 50.5 fantasy points in his Lakers debut. It’s still tough to get a read on where the Lakers are at with the new mix of players, but LeBron contributing is never an issue. And you know he wants to put on a show at home in order to avoid a 0-2 start. Plus, did you see the Rockets defense on opening night? Bad would be an insult to bad. Diagnosis: He’s LeBron. He’s reliable to at least hit value and he can go over 60 fantasy points on any given night.

LaMarcus Aldridge (at POR – $8,100): Needs 36.5 fantasy points. Aldridge picked up where he left off last season on opening night, scoring over 50 fantasy points. He’s still the straw that stirs the Spurs drink on offense. He gets his points and he’s the best rebounder on the team. On top of all that, he’s playing against the Blazers. He always seems to step his game up when he plays his former team. Diagnosis: No reason to doubt Aldridge based on last season, opening night, and the matchup.

Paul Millsap (vs PHO – $6,800): Needs 30.7 fantasy points. Millsap was quietly good on opening night, finishing with 35.5 fantasy points. He’s taken a step back in the offense with Nikola Jokic carrying things, but he’s still a strong scorer and he does a lot of his damage on the glass. He should get plenty of scoring and rebounding opportunities against the Suns. Diagnosis: Great matchup and a good player with big scoring and rebounding ability. Could be a big surprise on Saturday.
