High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jabari Parker (vs DET – $6,100): Needs 25.5 fantasy points. Parker had a decent debut, finished with 23.5 fantasy points. I have a feeling that he’s going to earn more playing time and opportunities in short order. The Pistons are a matchup for Parker to play more due to their size. He’s still a good scorer and he can chip in with rebounds. They’ll need his rebounding against the Pistons. Diagnosis: A reliable option who can explode on any night. I don’t hate this matchup for him and think he’ll get more playing time.

Evan Turner (vs SA – $4,200): Needs 17.5 fantasy points. Turner had 28.6 fantasy points in 21 minutes against the Lakers. He’s an odd player to figure out because he’s not all that good, but he’s given a lot of freedom with the second unit. Stauskas had a great game on opening night, but he’s bounced around the league for a reason. Turner has some trust in Portland, which is a scary thing for Portland, but a great thing for DFS players. Diagnosis: Tough matchup, but maybe the Portland bench is good? And Turner runs the second unit, so he’s going to get numbers if the bench is good.

Jeff Green (vs TOR – $3,900): Needs 16.3 fantasy points. At some point, people are going to remember that Jeff Green is Jeff Green. But it probably won’t be in game two. He’s going to continue to play big minutes because he is a versatile player who can contribute on both ends of the floor. And they’ll need his versatility against the Raptors. Diagnosis: He’s Jeff Green. If you don’t trust him, I don’t blame you. But he showed a lot on opening night, continues to play a lot, and is a low risk player.
