While they eventually managed to stay up last season, no Premier League side scored fewer league goals than Huddersfield, and it’s an issue that certainly hasn’t gone away. They’ve found the net on only four goals occasions so far, the equal lowest total along with Cardiff. Even more worryingly, their biggest strength from last season, a decent defense, has deserted them, with only Fulham having conceded more goals. Huddersfield have also yet to record a victory in this campaign, which means that their winless streak now stretches over 12 Premier League games going back to last season. Even worse, they’ve gone six home league games without even scoring
Liverpool have plenty of injury concerns at the moment, although Juergen Klopp was playing his cards close to his chest about them ahead of the game. Adam Lallana is definitely back in the squad and Naby Keita is certainly out for a couple of weeks, but there remains uncertainty over whether Sadio Mane, James Milner, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah will be fit to play. Although this looks a very straightforward game on paper, Liverpool were poor in their last two matches, so it’ll be intriguing to see if the international break has revitalized them or diminished their momentum even further.
