DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – October 21, 2018

High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,250
Russell Westbrook (vs SAC – $10,500):Needs 49.2 fantasy points. This spot would have gone to Chris Paul, but I’m fairly certain he’s going to get suspended for his part in the Lakers-Rockets fight. If I’m wrong, he’s a better option here than Westbrook. While Westbrook will typically always get numbers, coming off the knee injury isn’t a good sign. I expect him to be rusty and just need to see a game from him before I’m comfortable taking him at this salary. Diagnosis: Check his status as he’s currently a game-time decision. He’s Westbrook so he’s never a bad option, but rust could be an issue.
Steph Curry (at DEN – $10,000):Needs 45.1 fantasy points. Curry is off to a hot start, going over 50 fantasy points in both games. With the way he’s shooting and the way the Warriors offense goes, you know more or less what you’re getting out of Curry. Against a Nuggets team, on a back-to-back with a weak defense, this is an appetizing matchup for Curry. Another 50-plus fantasy point game is not out of the question for Curry. Diagnosis: He’s
De’Aaron Fox (at OKC – $6,600):Needs 30.9 fantasy points. Fox has been over 30 fantasy points in both games thus far. And he played very well against OKC last season, averaging 26.3 fantasy points in three games as a rookie. The Thunder defense on the perimeter is still suspect without Andre Roberson. Fox does a little bit of everything and has been tasked with a bigger role this season. Thus far it’s working out for Fox and DFS owners. Diagnosis: Playing at a good level against a good matchup. The Kings don’t play much defense, but that doesn’t matter in fantasy sports. Fox will get his.
