FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – October 21, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Jamal Murray (vs GS – $5,800):Murray had 43.1 fantasy points on Saturday against the Suns. With Will Barton out, Murray will have to take on an even bigger role on offense. I have all the faith in the world that he can do it. He wasn’t great against the Warriors last year, but he’s looked much improved in the offseason and to start this season. Diagnosis: It’s a tough matchup, especially on a back-to-back, but Murray is a guy with a high ceiling who can step up.
George Hill (vs ATL – $5,600):Needs 23.7 fantasy points. Hill had a clunker after a good debut. Such is life with George Hill. The only thing consistent about him is his ability to frustrate. On a slow night, there are things working in his favor. First off, the Hawks are not good. Plenty of players on Cleveland should have it going on Sunday. Second, he’s at home, where he should play better. Finally, he’s still a starter on a team that has looked solid offensively, Diagnosis: A risk due to inconsistency, but a lot of things are working in his favor.
Patrick Beverley (vs HOU – $5,100):Needs 21.6 fantasy points. I haven’t loved Beverley’s game to start and he’s never been a monster DFS player. But he’s the starting point guard on a well-rounded team going up against a Rockets team on a back-to-back. Furthermore, this is Beverley’s first game against Houston since the Chris Paul trade. You don’t think he remembers that? He’ll have a little something extra in this one. Diagnosis: Doesn’t have a high ceiling, but I’m a big believer in the “revenge game” and Beverley will be looking for revenge.
