High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,250

Kawhi Leonard (vs CHA – $8,000): Needs 39.8 fantasy points. Leonard rested on Saturday and the Raptors didn’t really miss a step. But there’s no denying how good Leonard has been thus far in the season. He’s not only getting his points, but his rebounding numbers are great, he’s picking up a couple of assists, and he’s always a defensive threat. The Hornets are a good matchup given how their defense has looked thus far. Diagnosis: The extra days off should do him good. Not that he’s looked rusty to start.

Jimmy Butler (vs IND – $8,000): Needs 36.2 fantasy points. The Timberwolves lost without Butler, thus proving that Jimmy Butler was right and the Timberwolves need him. That means Butler is going to once again look to carry the offense. Butler has been torching opponents early in the season, and while it’s hurt how others have played (looking at you, Karl-Anthony Towns), it’s benefitted Jimmy Butler. And it’s benefitted you if Butler has been on your team. Diagnosis: As long as Butler continues to take things on himself, he’s going to put up huge numbers.

Joe Ingles (vs MEM – $6,400): Needs 29 fantasy points. How does Joe Ingles continue to get so open? It’s a testament to the Utah system and Ingles looking like the generic NBA 2K create-a-player who you don’t bother guarding until it’s too late. On paper, Memphis has a solid defense, but it hasn’t quite shown up thus far. And the Jazz execute better than any team in the league. Diagnosis: As long as Ingles is getting his shots up, keep taking him.
