High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

JaVale McGee (vs SA – $5,500): Needs 23.4 fantasy points. Is JaVale McGee the best player on the Lakers? I would have to say yes. He’s certainly been the best DFS player on the Lakers, going over 35 fantasy points in both games. McGee always makes some athletic plays, but he’s looked like a different player this season. He’s doing everything right and making a big impact. As the Lakers only true center, there is plenty to like about his start. Diagnosis: They’ll need him against Aldridge and he’s done well against the Spurs in the past.

Jonas Valanciunas (vs CHA – $5,500): Needs 23.4 fantasy points. Valanciunas has been hit-and-miss to start the season. When he’s been inserted into the starting lineup, he’s done very well. When he’s coming off the bench, he hasn’t made any type of an impact. Make your choice based on whether he starts or not. Diagnosis: If he starts, he should do enough to at least hit value. If he comes off the bench, there’s no reason to play him.

Myles Turner (at MIN – $6,100): Needs 26 fantasy points. If Sabonis doesn’t end up playing, Turner should see extra opportunities as the best big man on the team. The Pacers are facing the Timberwolves, who have shown absolutely nothing on defense this season. Turner is inconsistent, but the injury to Sabonis should benefit him on Monday. Diagnosis: Inconsistent option, but could go over 30 fantasy points based on the matchup and playing time.
