Nick Chubb, RB, Cleveland Browns

Stats: 18 carries, 80 yards and one touchdown

The Cleveland Browns decision to trade Carlos Hyde this weekend was as much about gaining an extra draft pick as it was getting Nick Chubb more action. The rookie running back has shown flashes in limited action and now takes over as the top guy.

Despite trailing for most of the game, the Cleveland Browns still gave the young back 18 carries. Chubb finished the game averaging over four yards per carry and found the end zone once.

The Browns have a pretty favorable schedule moving forward. They face the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals in the next four games. Chubb will have a great opportunity to pad his stats in these matchups.

Cleveland has shown some improvement across the board the past few weeks. However, this is still a team that needs to look to the future. This means feeding the football to a rookie running back should be in the plans.

Chubb has a chance to be a solid No. 2 fantasy running back play moving forward. He also brings higher upside depending on his usage. This is someone you should make a priority if he’s still available on the wavier wire.
