Tyrell Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Stats: four catches, 118 yards and one touchdown

The Los Angeles Chargers continue to put up excellent offensive numbers which has help keep several players fantasy relevant. Obviously, the bigger names like Melvin Gordon and Keenan Allen standout, but Tyrell Williams is also worth owning.

Williams has been a big-play machine this year. In the past three games he has receptions of 78 yards, 45 yards and 48 yards.

These type of big-plays are hard to count on, but Williams has shown a knack for getting behind the defense. It’s his size and length that really standout. However, Williams is improving as a route runner and showing some veteran savvy.

He obviously has the trust of Philip Rivers who doesn’t hesitate to take a shot down field. There might be some down weeks in Williams’ future, but so far he has maintained solid production along with these splash games.

The Chargers are in the middle of the playoff hunt and will need all their weapons to extend their season. Williams is quickly emerging as one of their biggest playmakers.

In fact, he’s second on the team in receiving yards and averaging an eye-popping 21.4 yards per catch.
