High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Joel Embiid (at DET – $10,400): Needs 47.3 fantasy points. Embiid has definitely looked like himself in the last two games. The matchups have helped, but the matchup could be good against on Tuesday if Andre Drummond ends up sitting. Embiid had a rough time against the Pistons last season, averaging 38.8 fantasy points in three games. Again, if Drummond is out, take Embiid with confidence. If Drummond plays, he’ll have a tougher time. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but his lack of success against Drummond and the Pistons last season is worrisome.

Nikola Jokic (vs SAC – $9,700): Needs 44.1 fantasy points. This will be the Nuggets third game in four nights, which is typically worrying. But the Nuggets are facing the Kings, so you shouldn’t be worried about anything. Jokic will carve them up any way he wants. He’s playing great basketball right now and I see no reason why he’ll slow down given the opponent. Diagnosis: Great matchup for a guy who has dominated early this season.

Paul Millsap (vs SAC – $6,200): Needs 28.3 fantasy points. Millsap continues to struggle from the field, which is very worrying. The offense running through Jokic has hurt Millsap’s scoring numbers and he really needs big rebounding games if he’s going to hit value. It’s the Kings, so he should be better than he’s been thus far. But I would like to see something before I trust him. Diagnosis: The matchup is good and he should at least hit value. If his shot starts falling, he’ll be a big steal.
