Players costing $6,250 or under
Willie Cauley-Stein (at DEN – $5,900): Needs 26.8 fantasy points. Cauley-Stein didn’t play much against the Thunder, but still managed 26.25 fantasy points. He was great in a couple of late games against the Nuggets late season, which should give owners a little bit of confidence heading into Tuesday’s matchup. The rebounding numbers should be there, if nothing else. Diagnosis: A decent option with the potential to produce.
Montrezl Harrell (at NO – $4,300): Needs 19.6 fantasy points. Harrell always seems to dominate the Rockets, so the Oct. 21 performance wasn’t much of a surprise. Harrell is inconsistent thanks to his lack of minutes, but he had two monster games against the Pelicans last year. They need someone to stick with Anthony Davis and Harrell is a better option than Gortat. Diagnosis: Another matchup he’s had success against, but the minutes could be an issue.
Zaza Pachulia (vs PHI – $3,800): Needs 17.3 fantasy points. If Drummond is out, Zaza is going to see more minutes. That’s bad news for the Sixers. Zaza has played well early in the season and he played relatively well against the Sixers last season. You can comfortably take him if Drummond ends up sitting. Diagnosis: Very low-cost player who has played well to start the season and could make a big impact if Drummond doesn’t play.
