High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

De’Aaron Fox (at DEN – $8,000): Needs 34.2 fantasy points. You know it’s a slow night when Fox is is the highest salaried point guard. But with Ben Simmons listed as questionable, that’s where we are. Fox is off to a strong start, averaging 39.2 fantasy points in three games. The Nuggets defense has been better than expect thus far, but so has the Kings offense. Diagnosis: A tough matchup, but he’s been great to start. I’m cautious about his chances.

Elfrid Payton (vs LAC – $7,000): Needs 29,9 fantasy points. Payton had 28.2 fantasy points against the Kings on Oct. 19. The game was over early, which limited Payton’s minutes. He should be back up to playing over 30 minutes, which will help his numbers go back up. Offense has never been an issue for him. Diagnosis: There’s a lot to like about the Pelicans offense to start the season. Take Davis or take the guys around Davis.

Reggie Jackson (vs PHI – $6,300): Needs 26.9 fantasy points. Jackson has been consistent to start the season, which if a good sign for him and DFS owners. If Andre Drummond doesn’t play, Jackson will take a bigger role on the offense. He can score and get assists and not having to deal with Ben Simmons would be a good situation for him. Diagnosis: Reliable if unspectacular thus far.
