High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

Jrue Holiday (vs LAC – $7,800): Needs 32.6 fantasy points. Holiday looked more like himself against the Kings, finishing with 43.2 fantasy points. The Pelicans offense has looked unstoppable to start the season and Holiday can contribute in multiple ways. Expect him to build off the Kings performance and start to settle into the season. Diagnosis: It’s tough not to take anyone on the Pelicans at this point. They are rolling.

Gary Harris (vs SAC – $7,200): Needs 30.1 fantasy points. No Will Barton meant Harris stepped up against the Warriors, pouring in 42.1 fantasy points. He should have an even easier time against the Kings. The worry is that this one gets out of hand early and Harris doesn’t have 40-plus fantasy points. But he’ll produce for as long as the starters stay in the game. If Murray doesn’t end up playing as well, that’s even more shots for Harris. Diagnosis: Great matchup and possibly an even better set of circumstances. I like him more than Holiday at the lesser salary.

Buddy Hield (at DEN – $6,000): Needs 25 fantasy points. Hield is off to a solid start, averaging 26.2 fantasy points in three games. If nothing else, he appears to be a reliable option. The Nuggets defense has been better than expected, but I still don’t fully trust them. That said, the Kings are the Kings, no matter what they showed against the Thunder. Diagnosis: A consistent start to the season and should be at value again.
