FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – October 23, 2018
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,667
Anthony Davis (vs LAC – $13,000): Needs 54.9 fantasy points. You can’t go wrong with Anthony Davis this season.I don’t even think we’ve seen the best of him yet and he’s averaging 2.03 fantasy points per minute. It’s a high salary, but I’m not sure there is a salary high enough for Davis this season. He’s going to continue to produce all season. Diagnosis: You’re committing a lot if you’re going to take Davis, but he’s going to give you a lot in return.
Nikola Jokic (vs SAC – $10,600): Needs 44.7 fantasy points. Jokic didn’t match his perfect triple-double when the Nuggets played the Warriors, but he still put up 43.2 fantasy points. His salary has jumped way up there, but the Nuggets are playing the Kings, so that’s understandable. I can’t say “don’t take Jokic” given how he’s played and the matchup, but playing time might be an issue if this one gets out of hand. He’ll get busy for as long as he plays. Diagnosis: Even in limited playing time, 50-plus fantasy points seems certain.
Blake Griffin (vs PHI – $8,800): Needs 37.1 fantasy points. It’s a good night for power forwards in DFS. If you don’t like any of the players here, Tobias Harris has been a consistent option and Paul Millsap is bound to break out of his scoring slump against the Kings. But Griffin has been excellent to start the season and if Drummond doesn’t play, he’s in for another big game with a well-rounded stat line. Diagnosis: Good set of circumstances if Drummond doesn’t play. Even with Drummond, his job becomes easier.
