1. Florida Gators at Georgia Bulldogs (-6.5)

This is somewhat going off of a gut-feeling when it comes to the Georgia Bulldogs. The last time that we saw Kirby Smart’s team out on the field, they honestly left a lot to be desired. Ed Orgeron’s LSU team handled them pretty emphatically and now the Dawgs need to bounce back in a big way if they want to remain in the College Football Playoff picture.

Of course, that won’t be an easy task as they and the Florida Gators head to Jacksonville for the annual raucous affair between these two teams. This is a rivalry affair that almost always delivers a great game and, with both teams coming into it at 6-1 on the 2018 season and showing a lot of promise overall, there’s no reason to believe that the 2018 class between these two teams won’t be another classic.

Having said that, I don’t believe the outcome for this one is in doubt. Florida is no doubt a much more formidable team than many expected and Dan Mullen deserves to be lauded for how he has this team playing, especially on defense. While that may be true, the Gators still aren’t on par talent-wise with the Bulldogs.

This Georgia team has the talent to win the CFP come January. What’s more, I believe in the notion of a wake-up call, which is what I’m calling what happened against LSU. With a week off to ponder that, the Dawgs are going to come out hot in a rivalry game and, though it may not be a runaway, they’ll cover the spread and make a statement.
