2018 Stats: 1109 Rush Yds, 6.52 YPC, 8 TD
Next Game: @ Northwestern

Two things happened in Week 8 – Memphis’ Darrell Henderson was injured early in the game against UCF, and Jonathan Taylor had another typically big day against Illinois, racking up 159 yards on 27 carries.

Those combined circumstances moved Taylor to the top of the yard-per-game rushing totals nationally and showed that he’s one of the most consistent and dependable backs in the country. The game against the Illini was Taylor’s seventh straight game topping the 100-yard mark.

No. 20 Wisconsin can’t afford another loss. At 5-2, they still have slim hopes of making the Big Ten title game, so they’ll lean heavily on their primary weapon against the Wildcats this week.

Taylor may notch another 200-yard game and a few more scores to add to his already impressive totals for the season. A bad game against Northwestern, and he’ll likely drop from the conversation of finalists.
