#OffTheCuff or #OTC for short, is my way giving you something different for NFL Week 8 from the normal touts and stats you dig up week in, and week out for FanDuel.
I tell people all the time, it’s not all about the numbers baby!

NFL FanDuel Week 8 – The Offensive Line
This week, I’m loving the Chiefs O-Line vs The Broncos. Kareem Hunt has been heating up lately. The Broncos are TERRIBLE against the run and Hunt will likely be a tad chalky this week, after showing off last game. With Todd Gurley being the odds on chalk bomb, Hunt makes for a nice cheaper option as well. Get your shares.
*Quick reminder* The O-Line is IMPORTANT! Without them, your QB has no time to check down, pass (so he can make those pricey WR’s look good) or hand off to the RB. The RB has nowhere to go, jersey’s will be all around him and plug the run. They are vital. So, when building your lines, remember to ask yourself, “How’s their O-Line”?
NFL Week 8 – The QB
Andrew Luck … Yup, This one in for you Bryce! Let’s be honest about Mr. Luck, he’s good! Very very very good! This week, he gets the, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh re…building Raider’s? I don’t even want to comment on what the Raiders are doing, so let’s just speeeeed right by it, eh? Ok, so Luck is in a great spot this week. I know, other than T.Y. and Ebron or Swoope, his weapons are not household names. Do yourself a favor and dig into his weapons so you can stack them properly. Me personally, I like Luck/T.Y./Rogers/Ebron.
NFL Week 8 – The Running Backs
Kerryon Johnson – I knooooooooow ya’ll saw him get busy last week! Clearly, he is THE MAN in Detroit. This week, The Lions get The Seahawks, who are ranked 24th against the run, giving up 120.7 yards to opposing teams per game. Kerryon’s run style is perfect for this match-up too. Eye test says, the Seahawks are soft against hard runners, Kerryon…should eat!
James Conner – Aight so boom! The “Bell” era, is over in Pittsburgh IMO. Conner has won this job, and has been PERFORMING week in and week out. Run style is go vs The Browns this week. The Browns are slowly coming together, buuuuuut are just awful against the run. They give up 134.7 yards on average via the run. He’ll probably be chalky, but I don’t care honestly. This week, you HAVE to nail RBs to have a good week IMO.
*#OffTheCuff Dart* Lamar Miller – The Dolphins are trash against the run, we all know this. I know Miller is not who everybody WANTS to have in their lines. He possibly might NEED to be in your lines, just because he is $6,000 on FanDuel.
BTW…Yes Todd Gurley is a great option this week, but…I’m fading him! Pray for me!

NFL Week 8 – The WR’s
Michael Thomas – As of right now, Minny is HURT at the CB and D-Line position. Specifically, Xavier Rhodes looks to be out. We all know he is a DAWG! Without him to check the Saints WRs , I absolutely love all of the Saints WRs. Brees, should eat as well. Saints stack is not out of the question either, just stay on top of the injury news.
Josh Doctson – Follow me here…The Giants traded away Eli Apple. The Giants, traded away “Snacks” as well. That 1. Unclogs the running holes for the Washington RBs. 2. Improves the efficiency of the Washington O-Line, which benefits the check down king Alex Smith. 3. Benefits the WRs GREATLY. So, with that being said, I LOVE Alex Smith’s chances to get busy this week!
Tyreek Hill – I don’t want to hear anything about how high the Broncos Pass Defense is rated. Nope, nada, nothing, nathan, zip, bupkiss…The Chiefs are the most explosive team in the NFL next to the Rams. Tyreek Hill can not be contained. He is the fastest man in football right now IMO. All you need to remember, is #SpeedKills.
NFL Week 8 – The Tight End and Defense
C.J. Uzomah – I feel like this slat almost has too many spots to pick from! The Bucs are terrible against the pass, we all know this. Dalton is going to pick them apart and be throwing a ton. As he gets closes to the Red Zone, I love C.J. this week. He’s physical and is likely to push this soft Bucs Pass defense around.
Defense – The Ravens…Say what you want, but they are becoming ELITE. They get Cam and the Panthers this week, which doesn’t scare me too tough. Funchess’ speed can be matched, Olsen is slow, and Caff is going to be bottled up. Should be a lock IMO.
