2019 NFL mock draft: 49ers take Nick Bosa first overall
By Brad Weiss
The Atlanta Falcons have been very disappointing this season, as they have some of the best talent in the NFL, but have been playing very inconsistent football. On both sides of the ball, the Falcons have struggled to put a good game together, and are lucky they were playing such a bad team in the New York Giants on Monday night.
The Falcons were able to escape their game against the Giants with a three-point win, but they have a long way to go if they want to be competitive in the NFC this season. Matt Ryan is still one of the better signal-callers in the game, and Julio Jones is a beast at wide receiver, but for some reason, they have yet to hook up on a touchdown throw this season.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Falcons have had to deal with a ton of injuries, and the unit as a whole is just not good right now. They need to bring in some kind of talent on defensive via the NFL Draft, and adding a big defensive lineman like Rashan Gary from Michigan could be the way to go.
Not only is Gary adept at getting after the quarterback, but he is an incredible athlete, possessing the ability to run down running backs. The Falcons have some very talented players on defense right now, including Vic Beasley, but he needs help, and Gary can certainly be a guy who comes in and plays right away.
