  • Last Season: 16-15, Didn’t Make NCAA Tournament
  • Notable Losses: Robert Johnson, Josh Newkirk, Freddie McSwain
  • Notable Additions: Romeo Langford, Jerome Hunter, Evan Fitzner

Once upon a time, the Indiana Hoosiers seemingly brought in every big-name recruit from the state that they wanted to. However, it’s not a coincidence that the recent decline and lack of consistency from the Hoosiers program perfectly coincide with that ultimately stopping. Lucky for Archie Miller and the Hoosiers this year, though, they changed that heading into the 2018-19 season

The Hoosiers were able to land the fifth-ranked recruiting prospect and Indiana-native, Romeo Langford, and have him heading to Bloomington this season. The 6-foot-6 guard is going to be the focal point of this Indiana team, as well he should be given how immensely talented he is.

Having said that, the better thing for this program in the 2018-19 season is that it’s not just Langford out there with a cast of scrubs. The Hoosiers are bringing back forward Juwan Morgan, who could come close to averaging a double-double this season. What’s more, Indiana will also bring in Jerome Hunter, the 65th best recruit in the country, and more intriguing depth that includes Saint Mary’s grad transfer, Evan Fitzner.

After their struggles last season, there are few directions to go but up for the Hoosiers. Having said that, they’re one of the teams in these rankings with the best chance to shoot up. When you have a player like Langford, that puts you in the mix to potentially make big noise in college basketball.
