High Value PF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Paul Millsap (at LAL – $5,800): Needs 26.8 fantasy points. Millsap has continued to be just average in the young season, but the Kings performance was encouraging as his shot started to fall. Granted, it was against the Kings. But it’s not like the Lakers defense has looked any better. Millsap can do real damage to them in the interior where the Lakers lack size. Diagnosis: Love the matchup and him at this salary.
Trey Lyles (at LAL – $4,600): Needs 21.3 fantasy points. Lyles has either just hit value or been a bust on the young season. He’s getting minutes and he can do a bit of everything. The Nuggets should put up plenty of points against the Lakers and Lyles might be able to boost his rebounding numbers. Diagnosis: Decent option against a good matchup.
Jonathan Isaac (vs POR – $4,400): Needs 20.3 fantasy points. Isaac is coming off a 37.5 fantasy point game against the Celtics. Isaac can get points and rebounds and has double-double potential. He’ll get minutes as a starter and has looked better as the season has gone on, although it’s only been four games. Diagnosis: Low-cost option with a high ceiling.
