The newest spinoff of The Vampire Diaries, Legacies, premieres on Thursday night with episode 1, “This is the Part Where You Run.” Here’s how to watch the episode online.

The Originals just ended its run a couple of months ago and if you are missing the series The CW is ready to fill that vampire-shaped void. Legacies is stepping in to make sure The Vampire Diaries is represented on The CW’s schedule.

It is time for the next generation to take center stage as Hope Mikaelson, the world’s only tribrid leads the new series. Set two years after The Originals’ finale, Hope is a student at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted.

Now 17, Hope is dealing with the loss of both her parents and uncle. Luckily, the headmaster of the school, Alaric Saltzman, has become a mentor to Hope as she works through her guilt and tears to control her many powers.

Joining Hope at school are Alaric’s twins Lizzie and Josie, vampire MG and werewolf Rafael. Then there is the human boy in Mystic Falls that Hope likes, Landon. Hope gets into trouble when she reveals the supernatural world to Landon.

Being back in Mystic Falls will lead to a lot of easter eggs for TVD fans. The premiere will feature Sheriff Matt and Jeremy Gilbert is set to appear later in the season. Then there is the Caroline of it all. A big storyline for Lizzie and Josie will be that their mother is missing.

All right Legacies, please do not kill off Caroline Forbes.
