4. Take the Steelers -8 vs. Cleveland

It’s very possible that Hue Jackson is the worst head coach in the NFL. The idea that he might take a bigger role in the Browns’ offense this week is pretty terrifying. Todd Haley is, at worst, a competent offensive coordinator. The Steelers would love to see him marginalized on Sunday.

If we’re honest, we think the Browns are headed towards a pretty spectacular implosion. Baker Mayfield looked really bad last week. If he can’t bounce back with a really good game in Pittsburgh, things are going to get ugly in Northeast Ohio.

This game also represents a must-win for the Steelers. Mike Tomlin’s team got off to a slow start, but they’ve quietly been playing pretty solid football lately. It’s hard to imagine them coming off a bye and dropping a home game to the Browns.

The issue here is the margin. We’d feel better about this wager at 6.5. There’s always the chance that the Pittsburgh defense allows this game to devolve into a shootout. We don’t think the Cleveland offense has enough firepower to make that happen. The Browns many score a decent amount of points, but we’re confident Pittsburgh will put up 28 or more. That’s enough to give them a solid cover.
