West Virginia hosts Baylor in a Big 12 showdown Thursday night and here’s what you need to know about this game, including how to watch and bet.

West Virginia and Baylor are both coming off bye weeks and looking to finish strong down the stretch in conference play. The Bears are 4-3 overall and 2-2 in Big 12 play while the Mountaineers are 5-1 and 3-1 in conference play. This is the fourth Big 12 game for both teams.

Baylor started the season 2-1 heading into conference play and, despite their lack of depth due to the scandal, have been competitive in all but one Big 12 game. Baylor took down  Kansas easily before being blown out by Oklahoma on the road. A three-point win over Kansas State gave the Bears some momentum heading into Austin, but a last-second comeback fell short against Texas.

Charlie Brewer has taken over as the starting quarterback this year and has been one of the better passers in the Big 12. Brewer has thrown for 1,798 yards, ten touchdowns and just three interceptions for the season. Jalen Hurd and Denzel Mims have been his go-to-receivers all season, although Mims might not play in this game due to injury. Baylor is facing a West Virginia team coming off a devastating upset in Ames and this would be a prime spot for Matt Rhule to pick up his first signature win as head coach.

West Virginia was part of the madness two weeks ago that was a Saturday full of upsets. The Mountaineers won their first three conference games against Kansas State, Texas Tech and Kansas before losing to Iowa State on the road. Will Grier’s Heisman candidacy took a major hit as the senior struggled against the Cyclone defense. Grier only threw for 100 yards, one touchdown and an interception; his worst numbers this season.

The Mountaineers are tied for second in the Big 12 standings with Oklahoma and Texas Tech. A win could put them right back in the hunt for a conference championship with a game against top-seeded Texas next week. A loss would create a tougher hill to climb.

Thursday night’s game will be televised on FOX Sports 1, meaning this one can also be streamed on FOX Sports Go with a TV provider login. Fans can also stream the game on Fubo TV.
